Recent Events

Our August 20th wine tasting took us to opposite sides of the pacific, new Zealand and Napa Valley. The event turned out to be a great success. A big thank you to Damon Delong from National Distributing Company for bringing along Steve McKenzie from Wilson Daniels. Steve proved to be very informative.

Congratulations to Marsha Hunter, this month's winner of our competition. Marsha will receive a bottle of Kumeu River Pinot Gris, which was voted the favorite of the night followed by Girard Vineyards Petit Syrah and Sauvignon Republic Ssauvignon Blanc. Some of these wines will be featured on our September wine list and all wines are of course available from J & L Wines.

A great thank you to all our wine enthusiasts who joined us for our first wine tasting on July 30th at Picasso. It was a fun evening with great food, great wine, and great company.

Congratulations to Richard Allen, our winner of a bottle of the Zaccagnini Montepulciano, which was voted number 1 by our participants, followed by the Venturi Amarone and the Kupfelwieser Pinot Grigio. Some of these will be featured on our wine list during the month of August and you can, of course, purchase your favorites at J & L Wines.

Finally a thank you to our Tina from Savannah Distributing and her lovely Italian counter part Val from Zaccagnini Vineyards. Wasn't it fun to listen to her lovely Italian accent? Last but not least a great thank you to our staff for all their hard work in making this evening happen.
